The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a new one-year deal with linebacker Najee Goode, the team announced Wednesday.

Goode, 26, has played in parts of three seasons with the Eagles, recording 32 combined tackles between 2013 and 2015. He missed 15 games of the 2014 season, after tearing his pectoral muscle in a week one win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As the tweet shows, Goode has been more valuable on special teams than he has as a depth linebacker. It appears that the team will continue to invest in Dave Fipp's special teams unit, something that Howie Roseman and Chip Kelly went out of their way to do over the past two seasons, leading to one of the better units in the league.
