At 9, Barkley’s first major Eagles highlight. In week three against the Saints, the Eagles were still a questionable team and it was Barkley who saved them against the Saints, with a 65-yard touchdown run at the start of the fourth quarter that prevented the Eagles from being shutout by the eventual 5-12 team.
At 8, is Saquon Barkley’s opening to the second half of the regular season Rams game. The 70-yard touchdown drive to start the half put the Eagles up two scores and got the momentum back from a Rams team that was just starting to become a threat in the NFC.
It was at 5 that Jalen Hurts got his own highlight. This play was the cap to the opening drive of the NFC Divisional game against the Rams, where Hurts scrambled for 44 yards for a touchdown to start the game off on a positive note for the Eagles in an eventual close victory.
The second-best run of the year: Barkley’s “snow-bowl” run against the Rams in the Divisional round that was a one-play, 78-yard touchdown drive that ultimately wound up being the difference in the Eagles winning that game.
The top run of the year was the electric first offensive play the Eagles ran against the Commanders in the NFC Championship game blowout. Barkley, of course, slipped at least two tackles and turned back to the middle of the field to complete a 60-yard touchdown run that put Washington behind for good.
The Eagles highlight reel particularly highlights the Philadelphia offensive line and offensive player of the year Saquon Barkley as they dominated on the ground on their way to the Super Bowl LIX Championship.
A bonus interesting note: the 7th-ranked play (Texans-Titans) is being announced by Phillies play-by-play man Tom McCarthy.
