Eagles Sign Carson Steele To Reserve/Futures Deal, Add E.J. Jenkins and John Ojukwu

After signing eight of their own practice squad guys to futures deals, the Eagles are taking a look around the league.
On Tuesday, that resulted in the Eagles bringing in Carson Steele, per reports.

Steele spent the past two seasons with the Cheifs following two years at Ball State and one at UCLA.
In his rookie season two years ago, he had 183 yards rushing on 56 attempts and 26 yards on seven catches (11 targets). He spent all of 2025 on the Chiefs practice squad.
The Eagles are likely bringing him in as a depth back but also as a potential full back or blocker for a team that may lose Dallas Goedert and only has one tight end (Cam Latu) under contract.
Later reporting revealed the Eagles adding two additional players.

EJ Jenkins will take a shot at his fourth season with the team.
The tight end originally joined the team during the 2023 season before his release that November. He spent the last two weeks of that season with the Raiders before returning to Philadelphia that offseason where’s he’s now remained with the Eagles for the entirety of the last two seasons.
John Ojukwu has spent three seasons with the Titans and has been a key depth piece for them, bouncing up and down between the practice squad and 53-man roster in Tennessee for each of those years.
Over the course of those three seasons, he’s appeared in 16 games and made 9 starts. He did play offensive snaps in each game he appeared in, even if only as the extra blocker. That gives him good experience and a decent amount of NFL tape that may have intrigued Jeff Stoutland in a way similar to Fred Johnson prior to the team picking him up from the scrap heap.
Ojukwu is 6-5 and 310lbs.
