Brandon Johnson, Eagles, 2025

The Eagles signed eight players to futures deals on Monday afternoon.

In what may just be the first grouping of their futures deals, the Birds set to bring back the depth from their practice squad.

Chance Campbell

Campbell signed with the team late in August following an ACL tear ruining his 2024 season the prior August. He spent the entire season on the Eagles practice squad and got high praise from Eagles players like Saquon Barkley.

Tariq Castro-Fields

The Penn State product was brought in during October of the 2024 season and he is evidently a Fangio guy as the defensive coordinator keeps bringing him back. The DB offers positional flexibility and has returned to the team following being waived due to injury – he’ll look to spend his third season with the Eagles who seem to like what he offers them in depth and in practice.

Danny Gray

Gray joined the team mid-season in 2024 and signed to a futures deal, but was released this July. The Eagles brought him back again later, however, bringing him back in November. He spent the rest of the season on the practice squad.

Gabe Hall

Hall was brought in as part of the 2024 UDFA class and he becomes the last player from that class to stick with the team with Andre’ Sam being one of the practice squad player that did not sign a futures contract. Hall has impressed in the preseason and the Eagles clearly value the depth he offers as they look to keep him around the organization for a third full season.

Brandon Johnson

It’s unclear if Johnson will be able to play at the start of camp, but Johnson was brought in as an UDFA following the draft and spent the year with the Eagles on the practice squad. He appeared in the finale against the Commanders and was scheduled to play the whole game as the second safety before he got injured and wound up on IR just before the playoffs.

Jake Majors

Majors was the only player on the list to not spend any of camp with the Birds. Majors was picked up in early September and stuck with the practice squad since then.

Hollin Pierce

Pierce is a very intriguing player. One of the top UDFA’s this past season, he was always a project that’d take some time to get NFL ready. It’s a great benefit the Eagles could hold onto him all year and keep him working with Jeff Stoutland to get him going into year two where he may have a shot to make the team.

Quez Watkins

The former Eagles draft pick re-joined the team this season after being cut by the other teams that took a chance on him. Now the speedster seems destined for a depth/practice squad position.
