PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - APRIL 12: Tyson Foerster #71 of the Philadelphia Flyers scores a goal against Marcus Hogberg #50 of the New York Islanders during the second period of the game at the Wells Fargo Center on April 12, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced Wednesday that Tyson Foerster underwent successful surgery and will be out of action for approximately five months. As a result, Foerster is expected to miss the remainder of the season unless the Flyers make a deep postseason run.

The news comes after Foerster was initially ruled out earlier this month for 2–3 months with an “upper-body” injury. Foerster injured his shoulder during the Flyers’ December 1 game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
