Philadelphia forward Tyson Foerster will miss several months after being injured in Monday’s loss to Pittsburgh, the Flyers confirmed Tuesday.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced Tuesday afternoon that forward Tyson Foerster will miss 2–3 months due to an upper-body injury.

Foerster was hurt during Monday night’s loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins and did not return to the game. The 23-year-old winger has been a top contributor for the Flyers this season, recording 13 points — 10 goals and 3 assists — before the setback.

The team did not disclose specifics of the injury but said an update will be provided when more information becomes available.
