The Eagles will officially kick off the 2025 NFL season.

After being the second game of the season last year hosting Green Bay in Brazil, the Eagles have drawn the Thursday night game for week one.

That game will be against the NFC East rival Cowboys.

The Birds will proceed to celebrate their Super Bowl and hang the banner in front of the franchise that hasn’t seen success since people stopped using VHS tapes.

It remains to be seen what the Eagles schedule will look like for the following 16 games, but drawing Thursday night in week one isn’t terrible – the largest concern with those early-week games is rest and recovery times so, assuming starters don’t play in the preseason games, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

It also means the team will get a bit of extra rest before their week two game.
