Eagles coach grows frustrated with media probing Brown’s social media comments, insists “business as usual”

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni showed his frustration Tuesday as reporters pressed him about wide receiver AJ Brown’s happiness in Philadelphia. Brown’s Twitch and social media comments in recent days have sparked speculation about potential distractions for the team.

Sirianni first addressed the topic during his weekly Sports Radio 94 WIP appearance, taking a measured tone:

“You go with your interactions with guys on a daily basis, not speculating what guys meant, said. We’re gonna continue trying to get better on offense. We’re in tune with what goes on here, and AJ’s all in.”

Things became more tense later at NovaCare Complex ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Detroit Lions. When asked whether Brown was a distraction, Sirianni reiterated: “No, I don’t think so. You can only go off of your interactions and how they go about their work on a daily basis which you guys aren’t able to see. No, it’s business as usual.”

Smelling blood in the water, reporters pressed again, referencing Brown’s social media posts calling things a “shit show,” and Sirianni’s impatience began to show:

“Guys, I’m close to being done answering these questions about this. He’s working hard and he is a big part of the gameplan and will be going forward. He’s working like crazy when he’s here and we’re excited to have him.”

Still, Sirianni’s message was clear: regardless of outside chatter, the Eagles are focused on preparation, performance, and keeping their star receiver engaged.

Whatever the issues may be, the Eagles need to address them quickly. They begin a gauntlet of games this Sunday that will help determine whether they are truly an elite team worthy of the No. 1 seed in the playoffs—or just another team with a shot.
