Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni isn’t entertaining even a hint of a quarterback controversy. During his weekly appearance on the SportsRadio 94 WIP Morning Show, Sirianni strongly defended Jalen Hurts when asked whether a benching should be considered amid recent offensive struggles.

“No, I think that’s ridiculous,” he said during the interview. “I know every time I go out on that field with Jalen Hurts as our quarterback, we have a chance to win the game. That’s something that’s been proven. We’ve won a lot of football games. This is the most ultimate team game. You win together as a team, you lose together as a team. It’s never just one thing.”

Hurts is coming off a stretch of uneven play and turnovers, sparking frustration among fans and debate across the sports talk radio airwaves. Sirianni, however, made it clear that the quarterback position is not up for debate. He reiterated that Hurts’ track record, leadership, and ability to elevate the team still outweigh the recent miscues.

The head coach also pointed to larger issues impacting the offense, including execution, injuries, and situational failures, rather than pinning shortcomings on Hurts alone. While criticism will always follow a struggling offense, Sirianni’s stance signals organizational stability and confidence as the Eagles attempt to rebound.

For now, the message is crystal clear, Hurts remains the quarterback and Sirianni isn’t entertaining alternatives.
