Official: Kellen Moore Hired As Saints Head Coach
It’s official. Just two days after securing a Super Bowl championship over the Chiefs, the Eagles are without an offensive coordinator.
For weeks it seemed that he would be getting the job as soon as New Orleans would be able to hire him.
That became true on Tuesday.
The deal is now agreed to and done. Kellen Moore is the #Saints coach. https://t.co/g1Q86a3Kpm

At least in this case, unlike two years ago, the coordinator locked in and did his job in the Super Bowl rather than focusing on his new job and leaving.
Moore ran an offense that really was not his own this season. Typically a pass-heavy OC, he finally began to lean more on the run at the bye week.
The Eagles lost one game following that – the game where Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts was knocked out in the first quarter.
Hurts will now, once again have a new OC. He had Shane Steichen for two years but otherwise has had a new OC every year since he was in college.
Some names being floated to replace him include Frank Reich, the team’s Super Bowl LII OC who left and hired Nick Siranni to his staff (where the Eagles eventually pulled their current HC from) and internal promotion of Kevin Patullo. Patullo has been the passing game coordinator for the Eagles since 2021 and was promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2023 season.
It remains to be seen what will happen with the rest of the offensive staff, particularly QB coach Doug Nussmeier who has followed Moore to his last several stops.
