Flyers Sign Dvorak, Vladar, Juulsen to Open Free Agency
The Flyers had multiple areas they wanted to address going into free agency, mostly with stopgap options. In the first hour, they did just that.
The Flyers have signed center Christian Dvorak to a one-year deal with a $5.4 million cap hit.
Dvorak, 29, spent the last four seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. He scored 12 goals and 33 points in 82 games in the 2024-25 season, his first full season since the 56-game 2020-21 season.
Dvorak’s first five seasons in the league were spent with the Arizona Coyotes, four of which were under new Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet. Dvorak had 67 goals and 146 points in 302 games with the Coyotes.
The Flyers also signed goalie Dan Vladar to a two-year deal with a $3.35 million AAV.
Vladar, 27, spent the last four seasons with Calgary. In 2024-25, he had a 12-11-6 record with a 2.80 GAA and .898 save percentage. In 100 games played with Calgary, Vladar had a 47-32-15 record with a 2.97 GAA and .895 save percentage.
The Flyers also opened free agency with a depth signing on defense, agreeing to a one-year, $900,000 deal with Noah Juulsen.
Juulsen, 28, played 35 games with Vancouver in 2024-25, with no points in that time. Juulsen played 109 games with Vancouver over the last four seasons, with one goal and eight points.Â
