After García Addition, Phillies Appear Set in the Outfield for 2026

Dave Dombrowski appears ready to turn the page on the Phillies’ outfield for 2026.

Speaking after the signing of Adolis García, the Phillies’ president of baseball operations said the club’s outfield picture is “pretty much set,” a comment that carries significant ripple effects across the roster.

This likely shuts the door on a potential reunion with Harrison Bader. The high-energy outfielder was a popular clubhouse presence during his time in Philadelphia, but Dombrowski’s remarks suggest the front office is content with its current mix and unlikely to allocate additional resources to the position.

The Phillies are also continuing efforts to move on from Nick Castellanos, though that has proven easier said than done. Castellanos has one year remaining on his contract and has been difficult to trade, both due to the remaining salary and an uneven on-field performance. As a result, he remains part of the outfield equation… for now.
