Phillies Trade Rumors: Names to Keep an Eye on as the MLB Trade Deadline Approaches

The 2025 Major League Baseball trade season kicked off a bit earlier than expected. In a shocking trade, the Boston Red Sox traded disgruntled designated hitter Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for a handful of players including right-handed pitcher Jordan Hicks and lefty Kyle Harrison. The trade was the result of a unique situation that forced Boston’s hand but it has set the market a bit.
Closer to home, despite winning five-of-six over the Chicago Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays, the Philadelphia Phillies still have plenty of holes that need to be filled if the club wants to make a run at a World Series title. MLB Insider Bob Nightengale is on the record saying the Phillies will be aggressive in making moves as the 2025 MLB trade deadline approaches.
