Bailey, along with Harper, joined the Scarlet Knights for the 2024-25 season. And while the season as a whole was a disappointment, it was a personal success for Bailey. The Powder Spring, GA native averaged 17.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting nearly 46% from the field. Bailey had a career high 39-points in Rutgers 84-74 loss at Indiana. The former five-star recruit led the Scarlet Knights in both rebounds and blocks per game.

He was named to the 2024-25 Big Ten All-Freshman team and was selected third-team All-Big Ten.
