LeSean McCoy threatens Eagles Hall of Fame removal if Kevin Patullo stays

Former Philadelphia Eagles star LeSean “Shady” McCoy isn’t holding back when it comes to his opinion of the current state of the Eagles offense. On his “Speakeasy” podcast, McCoy said he wants his name removed from the team’s Hall of Fame if the organization doesn’t move on from offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

McCoy delivered a headline-making ultimatum, saying, “Take me off. Nobody has ever asked. I’m going to say ‘Mr. Lurie, it’s either me or Kevin.’ If Kevin is not fired, put 25 back out there on the street.”

While somewhat tongue-in-cheek, the frustration behind the message is anything but.

McCoy has been openly critical of an Eagles offense that has looked predictable, slow-developing, and lacking any identity despite featuring Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert. He questioned how an offense with that level of talent can consistently struggle to score touchdowns, sustain drives, or generate explosive plays.

His comments also reflect growing criticism of Patullo’s play-calling structure and scheme design. Whether the organization responds remains to be seen, but when a franchise legend starts speaking this loudly, it tends to get noticed.

Hall of Fame plaque or not, McCoy’s message was clear, he believes Philadelphia needs a change and he’s not afraid to apply public pressure to make it happen.
