The Flyers will induct two new members into its Hall of Fame prior to Tuesday’s game at Wells Fargo Center against the Calgary Flames. This opens up a three-game homestand for the Flyers, and marks the first game the Flyers will be without Ryan Ellis again for the long-term.

To this point in the season, the one thing the Flyers had done well, even in a pair of losses, was remain competitive in games. Saturday’s game was their first that would be classified as a clunker.

The Calgary Flames return to home ice after sweeping a five-game road trip that included four Metropolitan Division teams. Now, they face the Flyers, once final test for the Orange and Black on this road trip as they close out their October schedule.

The Flyers were 1:23 away from a regulation win, but a perfect bounce helped the Flames force overtime and ultimately win in a shootout, a missed opportunity for the Flyers to pick up two points.

The Flames scored a late goal to force overtime and eventually a shootout, where they were able to snap their six-game losing streak against the Flyers in a 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center.
