For the second straight game, Morgan Frost was a presence, scoring another goal and assisting on the game-winning goal in the Flyers 5-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. That helped snap the Flyers four-game losing streak and get them back into the win column.
Morgan Frost scored a shorthanded goal to give the Flyers the lead in the second, then with the game tied again in the third, set up Claude Giroux for his second goal of the game and the eventual game-winner in a 5-3 Flyers win over the Hurricanes.
The Flyers and Hurricanes meet again on Thursday night, with the Flyers looking to put an end to their losing streak and get back on track.
Through two periods, the Flyers were somehow alive in the game because of Carter Hart’s play. When the team scored three goals in the third period to secure a 4-1 win over the Hurricanes, it was a justified win for the netminder, who appeared to be back to the form that has his potential so sky high.
