The Flyers hit the road and face the New York Rangers, who make their return from the All-Star break on Tuesday night.
Michal Neuvirth kept the Flyers in the game, helping them get to overtime. After a scoreless overtime, Neuvirth made three saves in the shootout, Nolan Patrick scored in the fourth round and Kevin Hayes missed on his attempt as the Flyers came away with a 3-2 shootout win over the Rangers to head into holiday break on a high note.
The Flyers have one game left before getting a three-day break for the holidays. They travel to take on the New York Rangers on Sunday night.
The Flyers enter the Black Friday matinee against the Rangers on a four-game losing streak, last in the Metro, 15th in the conference and 28th in the league standings. And the road doesn’t get easier. The Rangers come into Friday’s game on a 9-1-1 stretch over their last 11 games.

A pair of quick goals got the Flyers right back into it midway through the period, but just like Monday, the Flyers couldn’t completely recover and fell short, dropping the final preseason game at home to the Rangers, 4-2, on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center.
