Comeback Kids Strike Again: Phantoms Rally to Beat Thunderbirds

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms used another late comeback to beat the Springfield Thunderbirds, 4-3, on Monday afternoon. Greg Carey led the way with two goals and Scott Laughton and Andy Miele added the others. The Phantoms were outplayed much of the afternoon, but ultimately came out with the win.

Power Play Leads Phantoms Past Bears

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms got 12 power plays on of a night where both teams combined for 64 penalty minutes. The Phantoms scored on four of those power plays, capitalizing on Hershey’s undisciplined play for a 6-2 victory at home on Friday night over the Bears.

7,467 fans came to the PPL Center for Star Wars Night on Sunday, and were treated to an out of this world performance from their rookie goalie Alex Lyon as the Phantoms beat the Utica Comets, 4-1.

Lyon’s 2nd Shutout Paces Phantoms Over Albany

In front of another sellout crowd at PPL Center, the Phantoms penalty kill was a perfect 7-for-7, and even contributed a goal, to go along with a power-play marker that were the difference in the game. Alex Lyon also picked up his second shutout of the season to beat the Albany Devils, 2-0.
