Rookie Adam Haseley is Latest Injured Phillies Player

Adam Haseley, we hardly knew ye.  In what is one of the most-injured Phillies seasons in recent memory the club has lost yet another player.  Haseley, who only made his major league debut just days ago, is the latest to be injured.  After missing Friday night's game with a sore hip flexor, it appears that it will not be a day-to-day situation.

Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic notes that Haseley is likely headed to the injured list and Nick Williams has returned in a reserve role on the lineup card:

Nick Williams is on the Phillies’ lineup card. Adam Haseley is not. Looks like he’s headed to the IL with the hip flexor issue that caused him to be scratched from the original lineup yesterday.

Williams had been optioned to the minor leagues when Jay Bruce joined the team.

The Phillies will once again be without a center fielder.  Following the loss of Aaron Altherr to a waiver claim after being designated for assignment, Roman Quinn to a groin strain, Odubel Herrera to an arrest for suspicion of domestic violence, and fill-in center fielder Andrew McCutchen to a torn ACL, the Phillies are particularly short on depth.

Saturday's lineup features Kingery in center field and Maikel Franco at third base.  Kingery had been playing third base with Haseley in center.  The Phillies could see Quinn return to the club in upcoming days. Quinn is currently in Clearwater working in the minor league complex, though he has not yet begun a rehab assignment.
