Philadelphia Phillies No. 3 overall pick of this year's amateur draft — third baseman Alec Bohm — has landed on the disabled list with a left knee injury, according to MiLB.com's Chris Bumbaca. A nerve in Bohm's knee was reportedly struck, and there is no clear timeline for his return.

Bumbaca writes:

"… [Bohm] was hit in the left knee with a pitch Monday while playing with Class A Short Season Williamsport. The 21-year-old stayed down in the box and hasn't played since, ultimately being placed on the disabled list Saturday, retroactive to July 12."

Bohm reportedly saw a specialist in Philadelphia on Thursday and returned to Williamsport the following day in a walking boot.

The Omaha, Nebraska, native is slashing .250/.342/.297 this season — with 16 hits, seven RBI and three stolen bases — between 18 appearances with the GCL Phillies West and Williamsport Crosscutters.
