Penn State in the Mix for Tennessee-Chattanooga Guard Honor Huff Along with Iowa, St. John’s, and North Carolina

Penn State has reportedly connected with one of the top NCAA basketball transfer portal targets available, Tennessee-Chattanooga guard Honor Huff.
According to reports, Huff and Penn State head coach Mike Rhoades met over a Zoom call on Sunday night. The Perkiomen School product is considered one of the top perimeter players available in the transfer portal.
Originally a VMI commit, Huff has spent the past two seasons with Chattanooga where he has twice led the Mocs in scoring. The 5’10 Brooklyn, NY native averaged 15.2 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game during the 2024-25 season. Huff averaged 42.4% from the field including 41.6% from beyond the arc and 82% from the free throw line. He was instrumental in Chattanooga’s 85-84 NIT championship win over UC-Irvine scoring 14 points in the game.
Huff would be an immediate impact for a Nittany Lions squad that finished second from last (6-14) in the Big Ten during the 2024-25 season.
That being said, Penn State has some competition for Huff’s services. He has reportedly conducted Zoom calls with Iowa, West Virginia, and St. Johns. North Carolina is also in the mix for his services.
