The Flyers deadline day deals included re-signing Michal Neuvirth and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and trading Mark Streit for Valtteri Filppula.

If it seemed odd that the Flyers acquired a forward that could instantly slot into the second or third line, the reasoning may come in the form of another injury.

Michael Raffl left Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return. GM Ron Hextall announced that Raffl will be out 6-to-8 weeks, essentially the remainder of the regular season.

Raffl has eight goals and three assists for 11 points on the season in 52 games.

The Flyers take on the Florida Panthers on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
