Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper is not only setting records in terms of the largest contract awarded in North American sports history, but also in jersey sales.

Harper's No. 3 jersey, according to Fanatics, is the No. 1 selling jersey of all-time — in any sport for any player — during the first 24 hours of launch.

Fanatics Executive Chairman Michael Rubin, who also co-owns the Philadelphia 76ers, shared the news Instagram on Sunday, adding Phillies gear is up more than 5,000 percent compared to the same day in 2018.

Philadelphia is surely excited of the franchise-altering signing. Since the news broke, the Phillies have sold more than 220,000 tickets and 10,000 spring training tickets. Harper is scheduled to make his Phillies debut this Saturday, March 9, against the Toronto Blue Jays at Spectrum Field in Clearwater.
