Philadelphia: As the entire nation celebrated the 4th of July holiday, the City of Philadelphia was in the spotlight by hosting the quarterfinals of the FIFA Club World Cup. The teams that make their way to Lincoln Financial Field include Chelsea and  Palmeiras. Palmeiras booked their trip to the quarterfinals off a win over Botafogo last week at Lincoln Financial Field. At the same time, Chelsea got their ticket to the quarterfinals off a win over Benfica at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

How the game went:

Chelsea would get the scoring started in the 16th minute for the 1-0 lead on a goal by Cole Palmer:

Chelsea would take a 1-0 lead into half.

What could Palmeiras do to get back into the game?

In the second half,Palmeiras would come out and get the game tied at 1 in the 53rd minute from Estevao. The crowd inside Lincoln Financial Field was enjoying it, especially from the Palmeiras side:

After the goal, how would Chelsea respond? Ultimately, both teams would have their chances but just could not finish.

Late in the 2nd half, Palmeiras would make a huge mistake – they would score an own goal to give Chelsea the 2-1 lead in the 83rd minute. The goal from Gusto would possibly ruin whatever momentum Palmeiras had after they tied the game.

There would be four minutes of stoppage time in the second half.

Could Palmeiras pull off the comeback to add more drama to this game? The answer would be NO, as Chelsea would win this game 2-1.
