The Eagles opened the practice window for Dallas Goedert on New Years but on the second, they lost another tight end.
On Thursday, the team placed veteran CJ Uzomah on injured reserve.

Though he hasn’t been a “feature” player, Uzomah has (for the most part) been with the team since April whether on the practice squad or active roster.
Fans may not have realized since he hasn’t been a major player in the passing game, but he played 79 offensive snaps for the Birds over the last three weeks.
He had been the clear second option at TE with EJ Jenkins only getting 26 snaps in that same timeframe.
The Eagles will hope to get Goedert back for the playoffs, but it sounds like he wouldn’t play this week anyway, which is a tough break for Uzomah considering he and Jenkins were likely to get most of the snaps this week to prove their abilities on the field.
