The Flyers stock on Russian players just continued to grow on Monday with the addition of Roman Lyubimov on an entry-level contract.

The 24-year-old forward scored seven goals and had 14 points in 52 games for CSKA Moscow in the KHL last season. In his six seasons in the KHL, Lyubimov has scored 15 goals and added 19 assists for 34 points in a total of 185 games.

As part of the 2016 World Championships team for Russia, he scored four goals and added two assists in 10 games, helping Russia earn a bronze medal.

Lyubimov also had 110 points over 138 games with CSKA Moscow’s junior team.

Lyubimov is expected to potentially be another forward to the growing pool of forwards in the minor leagues, potentially as a possible player in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
