NCAA Transfer Portal: Temple Owls Add Physical Guard Derrian Ford
The Temple Owls have once again dipped into the NCAA transfer portal to add another piece to the 2025-26 men’s basketball team.
According to the University, the Owls have added transfer guard Derrian Ford to the mix. Ford is Temple’s fifth transfer portal addition during the offseason.
Ford spent the past two seasons at Arkansas State University after beginning his collegiate career at the University of Arkansas. A 6-foot-3-inch guard, Ford averaged 7.3 point per game and 3.1 rebound while shooting 32% from beyond the arch. He was hampered by injuries during his two-seasons with Arkansas State and was primarily used off the bench.
A two-time Arkansas High School Player of the Year, Ford is expected to play a prominent role for the Owls in 2025-26. Temple head coach Adam Fisher praised Ford’s shooting ability and physical presence as a defender.
Ford has one year of eligibility remaining.
