Radnor, PA: There is a certain feel when your city gets to host an event that your city is known for and for Philadelphia, it has done well in hosting big time lacrosse events – in particular the NCAA Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse Final Four at Lincoln Financial Field & Subaru Park, the Philadelphia Wings games at the Wells Fargo Center, and now you can add the Premier Lacrosse League to the list.

On Friday night, the PLL would come to Villanova for the homecoming weekend for the Philadelphia Waterdogs.

Following the Philadelphia Waterdogs’ win over Boston to remain undefeated on the season, the head coach of the Philadelphia Waterdogs, Bill Tierney, would open up about the buildup to having the games in Philadelphia and playing them at Villanova University:

During the 2024 season, the Waterdogs lost both games at Villanova. This was a good way to defend the home field.
