Report: 76ers Sign Jared Butler to 2-Year Standard Contract
The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly converting Jared Butler’s two-way contract to a standard deal. Shams Charania of ESPN was first to report the move.

Butler, who was acquired at the NBA trade deadline, has impressed in three games with the Sixers. He is averaging 10.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 17.0 minutes per game. It quickly became clear Butler has the talent to be a legitimate NBA rotation player. The Sixers made the easy decision to lock him up through at least the rest of this season. Butler’s strong play has been one of the few positives to take away from the last disastrous week of Sixers basketball.
The 24-year-old guard’s new contract is a two-year deal with a team option for the 2025-26 season, according to Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice. The Sixers will have to release one of their two-way contracts in order to make the roster space to sign Butler.
