Azeez Ojulari

The Eagles have opened the practice window for veteran Azeez Ojulari.

The move means that he has 21 days to be activated or would be out for the season. Essentially, that would mean he would have to be activated after the Conference Championship, if the Eagles were to make it to the Super Bowl again.

There are currently no open spots on the active roster, so another move would need to be made to activate Ojulari. That could come in the form of Grant Calcaterra, who was injured in the regular season finale but there has been no official update on.

The team could also just look to allow Ojulari to practice with the team through the playoffs without his returning unless they run into injury trouble on the defensive line.

Ojulari was a gameday inactive for most of the year and had just started getting some snaps when he was placed on IR earlier this year.

The team will be without Brandon Johnson for the playoffs, however. Johnson had been elevated and was expected to play safety all day Sunday, but left in the first half. He’ll be done for the season as he was placed on injured reserve yesterday.
