Jalen Hurts Fumbles The Ball Away in Super Bowl LVII

Super Bowl LIX is now set. The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will meet in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 9 from the Superdome in New Orleans.

The Eagles handily dispatched of their NFC East rival, the upstart Washington Commanders, 55-23 in the NFC Championship Game. It will be Philadelphia’s second Super Bowl in the past three seasons. Kansas City outlasted the Buffalo Bills, 32-29, to clinch their third consecutive trip to the Super Bowl

For Philadelphia, Super Bowl LIX will be an opportunity to right a wrong from two seasons ago. For those who’ve purged the memories from their mind, a sloppy field, a Jalen Hurts fumble thanks to an uncalled facemask penalty, and a costly ticky tack James Bradberry penalty in the final moments of the game ultimately allowed the Chiefs to take Super Bowl LVII, 38-35.

As for Kansas City, Super Bowl LIX will be an opportunity to make history. Andy Reid’s team is on the verge of becoming the first team in the Super Bowl era to win three consecutive Super Bowl games. In addition to their Super Bowl LVII win over Philadelphia, the Chiefs edged the San Francisco 49ers, 25-22, to win Super Bowl LVIII last February. In addition to attempting to be the first to win three Super Bowl games in a row, the Reid-Patrick Mahomes combo is bidding for their fourth title since 2019.

Kansas City has been installed as a slight favorite in the early betting lines for the game.
