The final game of the 2024-25 National Football League season is set for Sunday, February 9, 2025, when the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles match up in Super Bowl LIX from New Orleans.

While the game is a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, it features two teams that are very different from their squads of just two seasons ago.

The Chiefs enter the game as the two-time defending Super Bowl champions (LVII & LVIII) and look to be first team in the Super Bowl era to three-peat. Saying that Kansas City has made the game with smoke and mirrors isn’t exactly fair considering the Chiefs ended the regular season with a 17-2 record including the playoffs. However, a remarkable 11 games were won by one possession or less and all but one win was within two possessions. Still, Kansas City hasn’t lost a meaningful game –sorry, Broncos fans, the 38-0 season finale blowout doesn’t count! — since a 30-21 Week 11 loss to Buffalo. A lot of that is thanks in part to a stifling defense that finished the regular season ranked in the Top 10. Oh, and that Patrick Mahomes guy.

Like the Kansas City, the Philadelphia Eagles enter the Big Game on an impressive run of their own. Philadelphia has won 15-of-16 games with their only loss since September coming to Washington in Week 16. Fans can add an asterisk to that game though. A cheap shot forced Birds’ QB Jalen Hurts leave with a concussion and Birds’ safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected in controversial fashion. Philadelphia’s path to NOLA has been the talk of sports radio, a bruising old school style leaning on 2,000-yard rusher Saquon Barkley and the NFL’s top defense

Here’s how to watch, betting odds, and more for Super Bowl LIX between the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Philadelphia Eagles.
