The Flyers hit the road for the next two games, starting on Sunday afternoon against the Colorado Avalanche at 3 p.m.

It finally happened. The San Jose Sharks snapped their 11-game season-opening winless streak against the Flyers on Tuesday night.

The Flyers hit the West coast and start a four-game road trip on Tuesday night against the winless San Jose Sharks.

On Thursday night in the season opener, the team that scored just eight goals in six preseason games got five goals, all from players who fall into that youthful category, as the Flyers claimed a 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils at Wells Fargo Center.

Another offensive surge for the Flyers, hats on the ice for Cam Atkinson, and lots of smiles in a dominant win for the Flyers over the Devils to bring their winning streak to three games. But there was also a dose of reality that hit the Flyers in regards to what is plaguing the sports world across the nation.

The Flyers pounded the Devils with two goals in the first and three more in the second, including a hat trick from Cam Atkinson, on their way to a 6-1 win at Wells Fargo Center.

The Devils are back on the schedule for the Flyers on Tuesday night, closing out the three-game season series, this time trying to pick up a third-straight win. 

The Devils scored twice in the second period to supply all of the offense needed in the game, as the Flyers losing streak reached 10 games with another lifeless effort in a 3-0 shutout loss.

The Flyers hit the road for the first of three games. It starts with a short trip to face the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night.
