A pair of quick goals got the Flyers right back into it midway through the period, but just like Monday, the Flyers couldn’t completely recover and fell short, dropping the final preseason game at home to the Rangers, 4-2, on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center.

The Flyers have wanted to be patient with Hart and have him take every step necessary in development. Injuries may have opened the door for a chance to make the roster this season. The injuries are not Hart’s focus though, rather what he can control in his case to be an NHL goaltender.
The goalies are the leading topic at camp now with Alex Lyon and now Neuvirth dealing with injuries. Brian Elliott is also working his way back from an injury. Forwards Cole Bardreau, Greg Carey, Phil Varone and Danick Martel as well as defenseman T.J. Brennan were placed on waivers on Friday. Martel was claimed off waivers by the Tampa Bay Lightning while the other four cleared, bringing the Flyers roster to 36 players.
