Eagles vs Raiders: Kenny Pickett Faces Former Team as Philly Seeks to End Losing Streak
With Geno Smith out, former Eagles QB Kenny Pickett steps in against his old team as Philadelphia looks to snap a three-game skid.
Birds fans are hoping that Sunday isn’t shaping up to be “the Kenny Pickett revenge game.” With Geno Smith sidelined, the former Eagles quarterback is suddenly in line to start for Las Vegas against the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.
Pickett’s time in Philadelphia was short. Acquired as a developmental backup in 2024, he saw limited action, appearing in five games and making one start. He completed 25 of 42 passes for 291 yards, two touchdowns and one interception before the Eagles moved on and dealt him to Cleveland the following offseason. From there, he bounced to Las Vegas, where injuries have once again pushed him into the spotlight.
Across his NFL career, Pickett has thrown for just under 5,000 yards with 16 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, completing roughly 62% of his attempts while posting a 15–10 record as a starter.
Still, this matchup is about the Eagles. They enter Sunday as a double-digit favorite and absolutely need a win to put an end to a frustrating three-game losing streak at home.
