Jordan Davis’ All-Pro Snub Is Impossible to Ignore

The Philadelphia Eagles landed a pair of deserving First-Team All-Pro selections this season. But there was also a glaring omission, one that’s hard to overlook once you dig into the numbers. That snub belongs to Eagles defensive lineman Jordan Davis.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t Davis’ first slight during the NFL awards cycle. The former first-round pick was also left out of the Pro Bowl earlier in the season, despite putting together the most complete and impactful year of his career.

Statistically, Davis stacked up with, and in some cases outperformed, many of the interior defensive linemen who earned national recognition. He led all interior defensive linemen in run stops (34) and finished third in total tackles (72). Even more impressive, Davis recorded a run stop on 16.5% of his run-defense snaps, a career-high mark that ranked fourth among all defensive linemen with at least 150 run-defense snaps.

This season also marked a turning point in Davis’ workload. He played a career-high 61.3% of defensive snaps, the first time he’s eclipsed the 50% threshold, silencing questions about his stamina and snap count while remaining highly effective against the run.

And then there was the moment that defined his season. In a pivotal win over the Rams, Davis blocked a field goal attempt and returned it for a touchdown, sealing the comeback victory in unforgettable fashion. Game-changing plays don’t get much bigger than that.

When you combine elite run defense, an increased snap count, strong tackle production, and a multiple season-defining clutch plays, the case is clear: Jordan Davis didn’t just have a good year, he had an All-Pro–caliber season. Instead, the snub only adds to the massive chip on his shoulder just as the NFL Playoffs kick off. And for opposing teams? Good luck!
