Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie Donating $50 Million To Launch Laurie Autism Institute With CHOP and Penn Medicine

Jeffrey Lurie is already considered one of Philadelphia’s best owners and the news on Tuesday shouldn’t hurt.
It’s now being reported that Lurie will be making a sizable $50 million donation to CHOP and Penn Medicine in order to launch the Laurie Autism Institute.

Exact/specific details of the donation/plans aren’t public yet, but the initial intentions are to make it a hub for research and care for autism.
Lurie has been involved in the autism causes for quite some time, including the Eagles Autism Challenge and 5K that began under his tenure as well as a sensory room that was created and has been updated within Lincoln Financial Field itself.
