Jackson Ford

The Nittany Lions are hoping to continue their roll.

Earlier this week, the class added four-star Pierce Petersohn.

On Friday the list of recruits committed now includes PA four-star Jackson Ford.

This was a B1G showdown as Ohio State and Michigan were the other teams in hot pursuit of the commitment.

There was a bit of a bump in the road earlier this week where the 2026 recruiting class lost Peyton Falzone to Auburn, but, in all honesty, losing the class’ second QB recruit is probably the least concerning flip they could have had.

A second QB is a bit of a luxury in the class and only one was ever likely to see playing time in Happy Valley, so that spot can now go to another prospect who wants to be at PSU and perhaps a player at a position where they’re more likely to see playing time.

Ford is considered a top-10 recruit in the state by all major platforms and considered just outside the top-200 overall by many.

His commitment pushes the class back to 21 recruits and seven of the top players in-state.

The edge defender joins already-committed DL prospects Alexander Haskell (St. Joe’s) and Isaac Chukwurah (DE).

Among others, Penn State is also a finalist for New Jersey’s Damari Simeon (commitment today, 5pm ET), Georgia CB Dorian Barney (July 5), and DC’s Tyson Harley (July 5) in what could become another recruiting run on top-rated players for the Nittany Lions
