Roger Goodell, Packers Fail To Ban Tush Push

National Football League owners are having their meetings this week and the vote on the tush push and removing it from the game took place on Wednesday.
Here’s a look at the proposal:
The Packers brought forward the motion after having their season both start and end with a beat down by the Eagles.
Some theorize that Rodger Goodell, who also wanted the play banned, put the Packers up to the task. Of course, the rule change would have also banned scrums where OL push a running back that’s gotten stood up, which happens several times in every single game.
But the good commissioner and hapless Packers failed in their gambit once again Wednesday.
A ban of the Push Tush play that the Philadelphia Eagles popularized did not receive enough votes at today’s league meeting in Minneapolis. The play remains alive. There will be more tush pushes this season. pic.twitter.com/sy1DOIznqP

The Packers pulled the proposal back before vote earlier in the offseason because they wouldn’t have won the vote. Now they’ve lost to Philadelphia for the third time since the start of last season.
The proposal needed at least 24 votes to pass and the reported final vote was 22-10.
The Eagles have their own vote in favor of keeping the play and have three other head coaches around the league who have gotten their jobs thanks to the Eagles also likely voting in their favor.
Of course, the proposal cites safety reasons, of which there are literally zero instances of proof that can be demonstrated.
At least now Jordan Love can attempt the play this season without falling over for no apparent reason.
