Marcus Epps 2022

The Eagles are getting some safety help for their Monday Night Football showdown.

On Monday, the Birds activated Marcus Epps from the reserve list and added him to the 53-man roster.

Epps takes the spot vacated by the release of Xavier Gipson over the weekend.

It will remain to be seen who starts and plays the majority of the snaps for the defense against the Chargers alongside Reed Blankenship as Epps has been used on defense at times rather than Sydney Brown, who clearly struggled last week.

The Eagles also elevated Andre Sam from the practice squad to get a bit more depth at a position where two of the three rosters players are either often injured or just returning from an injury.
