The Temple Owls announced the signing of former Delaware Blue Hens wide receiver JoJo Bermudez out of the NCAA transfer portal.

The Cedar Creek (Egg Harbor City, NJ) product joins the Owls after two seasons down I-95 with the Blue Hens. In his two years in Newark, Bermudez tallied 50 catches for 493 yards and a pair of touchdowns. A versatile player, he also contributed 108 rushing yards on eight carries with two touchdowns and 564 kickoff return yards in his Blue Hens career.

The Egg Harbor City, NJ native originally committed to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights before flipping to the Cincinnati Bearcats during the 2021 recruiting cycle. Bermudez redshirted as a freshman at Cincinnati before transferring to then-FCS Delaware. As a three-star recruit out of high school, Bermudez set the South Jersey career receiving record with 183 catches and 3,128 yards at Cedar Creek High School.

The 5-foot-9-inch Bermudez will add some much-needed speed to the Owls offense that is placing an emphasis on quickness.
