Chester, PA: After returning to the winning ways last week (after not getting a win for three weeks), the Philadelphia Union looked to make it back-to-back wins as they battled DC United on Saturday afternoon from Subaru Park.  The Union took the victory from DC United in their visit to Subaru Park last year.

Lineup:

How the game went:

Early on in the first half, the Philadelphia Union were getting some good chances to score, but were unable to finish them off. The Union would get the scoring party started in the 15th minute on a goal from Jakob Glesnes off a throw-in from Francis Westfield & Indiana Vassilev.

There were a couple of times in the first half that DC United attempted to get things even and were unable to. The Union would take a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Going into the second half, what could the Union do to keep the pressure on DC United for back-to-back wins? The Union would add to the lead on a goal from Danley Jean Jacques in the 52nd minute for a 2-0 lead.

Later in the second half, the Union would ice the game with a goal from Bruno Damiani  for a 3-0 lead in the 77th minute.

The crowd at Subaru Park was loving every minute of it – and you could see it in the goal celebration of Bruno Damiani:

The final whistle was blown & the Union won this game 3-0 to make it back-to-back shutout wins at home. For the second time this season, the Union have won back-to-back games.
