Chester, PA: We have made the Round of 16 in the US Open Cup & one of the headline games this round sn the Battle of PA: the Philadelphia Union would do battle with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds from Subaru Park in Chester, PA.

The Union made the round of 16 off a penalty kick win over the Indy Eleven, while Pittsburgh made their way to Chester off a dramatic win over NYCFC.

How the game went:
For the first couple of minutes, both teams were in the figuring it out stage. Pittsburgh would commit a foul that resulted in a penalty kick for the Union and they would score the PK in the 14th minute:

The Union would add to the lead in stoppage time to make it 2-0 on a nice goal from Indiana Vassilev, which was set up by Quinn & Cavan Sullivan:

That would be the score at halftime and the Union looked good.

Could they keep the pressure on the Riverhounds for the rest of the game? In their last US Open Cup game, they let Indy Eleven back into the game and it ended up going to penalty kicks.

In the second half, the Union were able to keep the pressure on Pittsburgh and made it 3-0 on a goal from Danley Jean Jacques.

The Union would ice the game on a goal from Jovan Lukic in the 86th minute to make it 4-1.

The Union would win the game & advance to the quarterfinals of the US Open Cup. They took care of business showing that they are ready to bring a title home.

The Union will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be in July.

The Union return to MLS Play on Saturday when they take on Lionel Messi and Inter Miami from Subaru Park.
