Allentown, PA: There is a certain buzz when a player makes his debut, and that is what we saw on Thursday Night as Andrew Painter made his Triple-A debut with the Phillies affiliates, the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, as they took on the Boston Red Sox’s affiliate, the Worcester Red Sox from Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA.

So one of the questions was how long would Painter go in his debut?

Andrew Painter would not waste any time, striking out the top prospect in all MiLB per MLB.com, Roman Anthony, for his 1st triple-A strikeout.

Andrew Painter would end the first inning with another strikeout.

Painter would run into some trouble in the 3rd inning, walking three straight batters to load the bases. He was able to get out of the inning with 0 runs, however, and the crowd would show their support:

For his debut, Painter would go 3 innings, 0 runs, 1 hit, 5 strikeouts on 60 pitches. All 5 of his strikeouts were by curveball.
