Allentown, PA: After being on the road for two weeks, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs return home to start a 2-week homestand in the middle of June. Fans also got to see one of the Phillies top pitching prospects do work in front of the home fans as Andrew Painter and the Iron Pigs would battle the Boston Red Sox affiliate, the Worcester Red Sox from Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.

How the game went:
Through the first two innings, the command for Andrew Painter looked all over the place. At times, his slider would not bite.
Worcester would connect on some well-hit balls. Painter would get his first strikeout in the 3rd inning and, during that inning, he would run into some trouble. That included 7 hits resulting in 5 runs scored.
Painter would figure things out and pitch 2 more innings, showing some good things that we saw in his first couple of starts with the IronPigs, especially with back-to-back strikeouts to end the 4th and a shutdown 5th inning.
