Just two days later and Ian Book is back.

Book was waived Tuesday as the Eagles were confident in Jalen Hurts being ready to play this weekend.

Yesterday, the team gave that roster spot to another Georgia defender in a bit of a surprising move, but the Eagles still opted to have Book re-join the team.

Book will remain the deep emergency option for the Eagles, who would probably like to keep a fourth QB in house due to Kenny Pickett’s injuries.

Mekhi Garner draws the short string to make room for Book.

Garner was signed as a member of the 2023 UDFA class and re-joined the team last offseason after signing a futures contract with Philadelphia.

He had been placed on IR before the season started and was waived with an injury settlement before returning to the teams practice squad on New Year’s Eve.
