Bryce Huff, Eagles

The Eagles pass rush is getting a boost.

The team announced that they are officially activating Bryce Huff for a unit whose depth has been tested recently.

Huff had his practice window activated a bit over a week ago and will appear to get some regular season snaps under his belt to work back into playing shape for the playoffs.

He’ll get two games before the playoffs to get back up to speed.

As projected in our previous article here on STP, Charles Harris was waived for the roster spot.

Additionally, the team placed Britain Covey on IR, meaning he’ll miss at least part of the playoffs if he returns at all this year.

Covey had really stepped up in the passing game when both Brown and Smith were dealing with injuries, but landed on IR back in September and only returned about a month ago.

It seems like a rare case of roster malpractice, as he was re-injured shortly after that return and has missed three games already since being back.

QB Ian Book, brought back earlier in the week, is elevated to the active roster, taking Covey’s spot. It would seem once Hurts is back, Book is likely to have his spot opened back up for a returning player like Dallas Goedert.

At linebacker, Dallas Gant’s elevation may spell bad news for Nakobe Dean, who is listed as doubtful for the game.
