The Flyers return home for the first time in 2019 to play the Carolina Hurricanes, a team that defeated them on a four-game road trip on New Year’s Eve. The Flyers are currently on a four-game losing streak. Game time is at 7 p.m.
Top-tier draft picks in the National Hockey League are expected to make an immediate impact on their team. For some, those picks can completely change the course of a team’s performance. In the case of Nolan Patrick, the sophomore Flyer has yet to find his stride in the big league.

The trip continues for the Flyers with another stop in Florida, this time to face the Panthers.
The Flyers gave the Tampa Bay Lightning a run for their money in November, erasing a 5-1 lead in under seven minutes to force overtime, before ultimately suffering the defeat. Tampa has some help back in netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy and is also fresh off the break.
The Flyers have been well represented in the World Junior Championships in the past and this year will be no different. In total, seven Flyers prospects will be participating in the World Junior Championships, starting on Wednesday, Dec. 26.
The Flyers have one game left before getting a three-day break for the holidays. They travel to take on the New York Rangers on Sunday night.
If the Flyers did everything they could to eliminate chances in front of Carter Hart in the first two games of his career, they didn’t do him any favors in his third game. Hart was left in difficult position, needing to recover from the shortcomings the Flyers had early in the season, in a 4-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Carter Hart faced just 19 shots in the game, but allowed four goals as the Flyers struggled and were unable to find a rally in a 4-3 loss to the Blue Jackets at Wells Fargo Center.
