Defenseman Marc-Andre Bourdon and center Scott Laughton were both signed today by the Philadelphia Flyers. Bourdon was signed to a two year deal worth $1,225,000 according to CSNPhilly.com.

He will certainly be seeing more playing time since his former defensive partner Matt Carle has gone to Tampa Bay and teammate Andrej Meszaros is out with a torn Achilles. Bourdon was impressive last year during his 45 regular season games and in his lone playoff game.

2012 first-round pick Scott Laughton was signed to an entry-level contract worth $925,000 plus a performance bonus of $212,500 according to Tim Panaccio of CSNPhilly.

The 18-year-old center reminds GM Paul Holmgren of former Flyer Mike Richards and Devils center Adam Henrique. He produced 33 goals and 43 assists during 127 games with the Oshawa Generals of the OHL.

Bourdon and Laughton are just two more examples of good young players that the Flyers have faith in to succeed.
